Rex Alarcon Eliminated in 14th Place ($7,340)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Rex Alarcon shoved from mid-position for 160,000 and Alexandre Santo called on the button.

Rex Alarcon: {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Alexandre Santo: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"Four hearts!" Alarcon asked.

"You sure?" Santo remarked.

"Oh! All the eights!" Alarcon responded with a smile.

The dealer burned a card and revealed the {8-Hearts} in the window.

"There it is" Alarcon said.

"But you asked for four hearts..." the dealer responded before fanning out the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for the rest of the flop.

"No!" Alarcon sighed.

The turn was the {a-Spades} to give Alarcon trip aces and leave Alarcon drawing dead.

The river completed the board with the {j-Hearts} and Alarcon managed to pick up a few pay jumps as he had been short for a while.

Diego Palma Valencia Eliminated in 15th Place ($7,340)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

After Ole Schemion had raised in middle position, Diego Palma Valencia three-bet to 170,000 from the small blind and Schemion called. The flop was {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Palma continued with a bet of 225,000. Schemion came along with the call.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Palma moved all in for 595,000. Schemion called it off without much hesitation to create the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Diego Palma Valencia: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Schemion had turned a straight and Palma could only hope for a chop on the river. Instead, the {K-Hearts} fell to seal his fate. With the massive pot, Schemion is now the new chipleader.

Markus Kuhnen

Markus Kuhnen left the tournament area quite quickly after the final 16 players had been redrawn to the final two tables. Kuhnen was kind enough to relate that he lost with pocket sixes against the {a-}{j-} of Dragos Trofimov.

Randy Lew

Conor Beresford raised to 55,000 first to act, Randy Lew shoved all in for 505,000 one seat over and Beresford, with a stack of 590,000, instantly called it off.

Randy Lew: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Conor Beresford: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Lew started and remained behind on {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the last member of Team PokerStars saw his bid come to an end in 17th place. A very short-stacked Christian Gravelle had also busted and received the same amount for 18th place.

The 16 remaining players will redraw for the final two tables.

Cote Wins a Big One

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised to 55,000 from under the gun and was only called by Joe Cote in the big blind.

They both checked through the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop and the {8-Hearts} on the turn to the {6-Clubs} on the river. Cote bet 100,000 and Schemion raised to 365,000. Cote confirmed the amount and then called. Before Schemion could show his cards, Cote already turned over {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the rivered flush to scoop the pot.

Margets Falls to Rheem

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Leo Margets (at an earlier event)
Leo Margets (at an earlier event)

Chino Rheem has quickly recovered from the setback against Randy Lew and took down Leo Margets as well to bring the field down to 18. It got folded to Rheem on the button who open-shoved, covering both Christian Gravelle and Leo Margets.

Gravelle folded but Margets called it off for almost 400,000 after some thought.

Leo Margets: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}
Chino Rheem: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Rheem remained best on a {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board to send Margets to the payout desk.

Lew Doubles Through Rheem

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Randy Lew
Randy Lew

Randy Lew raised to 50,000 from the button and Chino Rheem shoved in the small blind. Christian Gravelle folded his big blind and Lew called for the 270,000 he had behind.

Randy Lew: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Chino Rheem: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades} for Lew to flop a set of jacks while Rheem picked up the straight draw.

The turn brought them the {10-Diamonds} to give Lew the full house and secure him the double-up.

The {5-Spades} on the river was just a formality to complete the board.
