Luo Takes out Branco, Claims the Lead

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Carlos Branco (at EPT Prague)
Carlos Branco (at EPT Prague)

Xixiang Luo and Carlos Branco had already built up a sizable pot when the river was dealt on {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{A-Hearts}. Luo bet 115,000 and Branco responded by moving all in. Luo wasn't all too pleased but ended up calling after twenty seconds or so.

Branco, who final tabled the EPT Main Event in Prague a month ago, showed {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} for trip aces and Luo revealed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a full house. The Chinese pro let out a brief shriek upon seeing Branco's hand, thinking he was up against ace-ten, but quickly eased back up when he realized he had the winner.

Trofimov Stacking, Sends Litmola Out

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A very short-stacked Kristina Litmola was all in for 32,000 and Dragos Trofimov looked her up.

Kristina Litmola: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Dragos Trofimov: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The dealer slapped down a board of {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} to counterfeit Litmola's pair of sixes. With the knockout, Trofimov moved up to 700k and wields presumably the largest stack in the room.

Boika Finishes Turner in Two Steps

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

At the furthest table in the room, Jon Turner bet 17,000 on a {K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and action was on Aliaksei Boika. The Belarusian slid a tower of T-5,000 chips forward, totaling 75,000, around Turner's remaining stack. Turner took around two minutes before splashing in his stack.

Boika showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Turner mucked his hand. The table prompted Turner to show, at it was an all in and a call situation, but "Pearljammer" had 2,000 left after counting out the 75,000 raise from Boika.

Those chips went in with {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} against Boika's {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} the next hand and after a king-high flop, Turner was really gone this time.

Beresford Rushing Upwards

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Conor Beresford raised to 13,000 from the hijack and Marvin Rettenmaier three-bet to 43,000 in the small blind. Antoine Saout folded his big blind and Beresford called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Rettenmaier continued with a bet of 31,000 and Beresford shoved with the bigger stack. Rettenmaier considered his options for a while and then called for the extra 104,000 he had behind.

Marvin Rettenmaier: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Conor Beresford: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}

Beresford had flopped top pair leaving Rettenmaier searching for a king.

The rest of the board was completed with the {q-Clubs} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river to give Beresford trips, in the end, to take Rettenmaier out of the running.

McKeehen Eliminated; Sinclair Survives

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Joe McKeehen (at an earlier event)
Joe McKeehen (at an earlier event)

Joe McKeehen was all in for 25,000 from under the gun and found a caller in Uri Reichenstein two seats over. Action folded to Jack Sinclair in the big blind, who shoved all in for 104,000. Reichenstein quickly flicked in an extra chip to indicate a call.

Joe McKeehen: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Jack Sinclair: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Uri Reichenstein: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop gave Sinclair a flush draw to go with his overcard, while McKeehen was reduced to just a single out. The {8-Spades} on the turn was a blank but the {4-Hearts} on the river completed Sinclair's flush to scoop the entire pot.

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Maria Ho raised to 13,000 from the button and Robin Hegele shoved in the small blind for 71,000. Ole Schemion was sitting in the big blind and confirmed the amount before also shoving for 95,000. Ho looked at her cards one more time before folding them.

Robin Hegele: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Ole Schemion: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for Hegele to stay ahead and more than double up.
