Calamusa Leads on Day 3 of PCA Main Event
Day 3 of the 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event kicks off at noon local time with 79 players out of the 865 coming back to continue to battle it out. They have all locked up $20,980 but they will all have their eyes on the trophy and the first-place prize of $1,567,100.
Leading the way is Pierre Calamusa, from France, with a massive stack of 1,500,000. Calamusa has a 5th place finish in the 2016 EPT Monte-Carlo ($233,800) and will be looking to get closer to a title this time. He is followed by Vincent Bosca (1,138,000) from Spain. Enrico Camosci rounds up the top three with 980,000.
Other big names in the top counts are Matthias Eibinger (894,000), Brian Altman (746,000), Joao Simao (734,000) and Franz Ditz (732,000).
Among some of the other notables still in contention are PokerStars Ambassadors Andre Akkari (390,000) and Randy Lew (134,000), along with Scott Clements (591,000), Chino Rheem (437,000), Dzmitry Urbanovich (366,000), Mike Leah (316,000), and Elliott Smith (176,000).
The action is set to kick off at level 17 with blinds of 3,000/6,000/6,000. The schedule is set to play 90-minute levels and down to 16 players, or as announced, so there is plenty of action to look forward too as we get closer to the title.
