Hand #48: Scott Wellenbach raised to 200,000 in middle position with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Chino Rheem called on the button with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Brian Altman three-bet shoved 4,755,000 from the small blind with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and both opponents folded.

Hand #49: A walk for Vicent Bosca, who had {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Hand #50: Rheem opened with the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} in middle position and Wellenbach defended {3-Spades}{2-Spades}. The {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop had nothing for Wellenbach and he check-folded with lightning speed.

Hand #51: Bosca made it 180,000 on the button with {J-Spades}{7-Spades}. Wellenbach picked up {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} in the small blind and three-bet to 740,000. Bosca wasn't giving any more action and folded.

Hand #52: Pavel Veksler raised to 160,000 in middle position with {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Wellenbach called on the button with {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Rheem found {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} in the big blind and put in a small three-bet to 420,000. Getting great odds, Veksler and Wellenbach both called.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to give Veksler top pair and Wellenbach a flush draw. The {9-Spades} on the turn kept Veksler in the lead. Rheem checked, Veksler bet 625,000, Wellenbach called with the five-high flush draw, and Rheem gave up his kings.

The {8-Clubs} on the river gave Veksler the winning hand and he checked. Wellenbach decided not to a stab at it and checked his whiffed draw behind to surrender the pot.

Hands #45C47: Rheem Flops Broadway; Veksler Gets Value

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #45: Scott Wellenbach raised the button to 200,000 with the {Q-Spades}{3-Spades} and Daniel Strelitz folded in the single big blind.

Hand #46: Vicent Bosca raised to {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Chino Rheem called in the big blind with {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. On the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop, Rheem checked and Bosca continued for 225,000, which Rheem called with broadway. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Rheem check-called another bet of 600,000 and the {J-Hearts} river paired the board.

Rheem checked once more and Bosca checked behind to get shown the bad news.

Hand #47: First to act, Pavel Veksler raised to 160,000 with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Wellenbach in the cutoff asked for his stack size, then flat-called with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Brian Altman peeled from the big blind with {9-Spades}{3-Spades} and the flop of {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} gave both Veksler and Wellenbach top pair.

Altman checked and Veksler continued for 275,000, which was called only by Wellenbach. After the {Q-Spades} turn, Veksler fired a second barrel for 500,000 and Wellenbach called once more to see the {K-Hearts} on the river. Both players checked and Veksler

As of 1 p.m. local time, the remaining six players out of an 865-entry strong field will return to the feature table in the Imperial Ballroom at the Atlantis Resort & Casino to play down to a champion in the 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) $10,300 Main Event. A new champion will be crowned on Paradise Island and the coveted PCA Main Event trophy and $1,567,100 top prize is up for grabs.

Leading the final six is David "Chino" Rheem, who was near the top of the leaderboard throughout the entire duration of the event and enters the final day with 7,550,000. Second in chips is Canadian online qualifier Scott Wellenbach with 6,015,000, who has pledged to donate his winnings to a charitable cause no matter where he finishes.

Brian Altman will enter the final day third in chips with 4,995,000, and the other finalists include Vicent Bosca (2,875,000), Daniel Strelitz (2,355,000) and Pavel Veksler (2,035,000). With 29 and 25 big blinds respectively for the bottom two stacks, there is still plenty of space to maneuver and it won't be an easy ride to victory in the first major poker tournament of the year.

When asked if he would be donating his PCA winnings, he replied, Of course! Otherwise, the poker gods might cut me off C where would I be then? and then said that he wanted to see the money go to womens education and feeding people who are hungry among other causes. Wellenbach claims that he started playing poker with his family on seaside trips aged eight and his experience has served him well.

Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Californian grinder Daniel Strelitz has been amassing live cashes since 2011. His earnings totalled over $3 million before he entered the PCA Main Event where he's guaranteed to notch a six-figure prize. Sterlitz has already closed out a high-profile final table, topping the 2017 WPT L.A. Poker Classic for just over $1 million.

Los Angeles' David "Chino" Rheem is a professional poker player who's been grinding live tournaments for well over a decade. The 38-year-old boasts nearly $9 million in live cashes. His most remarkable moments at the felt came in 2008 when he first made the WSOP Main Event final table (banking $1,772,650 for 7th place) and then added a victory in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic only a month later, taking home a handsome $1,538,730. Rheem's pedigree features further two seven-figure paydays.

While Rheem has made for his name on the World Poker Tour circuit, where he's won three WPT titles, he'd previously cashed only once in a PCA Main Event (141st in 2011).

Brian Altman

Brian Altman has over $2.8 million in live tournament earnings including seven cashes at different incarnations of the PCA dating back to 2014. He racked up two of them this week as he warmed up for the Main Event. The American players biggest previous win came at the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open which he won for over $720,000 in 2015.

Now based in Canada, the poker pro is just as comfortable at the virtual felt, with over $1.3 million in online winnings, too. He has previously taken down the Sunday 500 for $90,000 and a WCOOP Second Chance on PokerStars as part of his online grinder career, but is looking at his biggest result to date in either poker format should he finish in first or second place in the PCA Main Event.
