Nitsche Waits Until the River

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

James Romero opened to 9,000 in early position and was called by Dominik Nitsche on his left, Ben Heath in the cutoff, and Shyngis Satubayev on the button. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the action checked through to the {q-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river.

Finally, Nitsche was the first to take a stab at the pot with a bet of 30,000. Heath and Satubayev both folded but Romero looked him up. Nitsche tabled {k-Spades}{j-Spades} and Romero mucked his cards.

Near the end of the level, Henrik Hecklen, Kristen Bicknell, and Pavel Plesuv all hit the rail. The remaining 30 players are heading on another 15-minute break.
