Hands #70-75: Buchanan Milks His Set and His Aces

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #70: Action folded to Maria Lampropulos in the cutoff and she opened with a raise to 130,000 with {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. On the button, Shawn Buchanan picks up {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and he flats. Adrian Mateos flats from the big blind as well holding {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

The flop comes down {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and all three players check. The turn comes the {A-Clubs} which was an action card. Mateos led out with his flush draw, betting 180,000. Lampropulos decided to call putting the action on Buchanan with his set. He called as well.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Mateos checked. Lampropulos checked as well. Buchanan decided to put out a big bet of 600,000. Mateos quickly folded. Lampropulos dropped into the tank with her top pair and she thought for a bit before deciding to release her hand. Buchanan let Lampropulos choose one card to look at and she found the {Q-Clubs}.

Hand #71: Koray Aldemir opened from early position holding {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and that earned him the pot as everyone folded.

Hand #72: From the cutoff, Adalfer Morales Gamarra raised to 245,000 holding {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. He took down the blinds and antes with his big opening raise and won the pot.

Hand #73:Under the gun, Koray Aldemir woke up with {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and he raised to 125,000 Buchanan was in early position as well. He looked down at {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. He decided to just call. Everyone else folded so the two took to a flop.

On the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, both players checked to see the {9-Spades} on the turn. There, Aldemir decided to lead out and bet 280,000. Buchanan called.

On the {8-Diamonds} river, Aldemir checked. Buchanan put out a bet of 430,000 which was a bit less than half of the pot. Aldemir thought through the hand for a bit before he decided to fold. That allowed Buchanan to take down the pot and pass up Aldemir on the leaderboard.

Hand #74: Shawn Buchanan opened holding {Q-Diamonds} and one unknown card from early position. Action folded around to the small blind where Christian Rudolph looked down at {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. He thought for a bit, then moved all in for 880,000. Buchanan quickly folded.

Hand #75: We missed this hand because of a segment on the stream.

Hand #76: Action folded around to the blinds where Maria Lampropulos looked down at {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and she limped in. Buchanan was holding {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} in the big blind and he checked his option.

On the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Lampropulos put out a bet of 100,000. Buchanan, who had flopped top pair, raised to 260,000. Lampropulos folded so Buchanan took down the pot.
