Riess Nearly Doubles Up

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

With roughly 10,000 already in the pot, Ryan Riess was facing off against James Frangoulidis. The board showed {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Frangoulidis checked over to Riess. Riess put out a bet of 4,200 and after some thought, Frangoulidis called.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Frangoulidis checked again. Riess put out a bet of roughly 8,000, leaving himself with just a single blue T5,000 chip behind. Frangoulidis thought for a bit before calling. Frangoulidis showed his {2-}{2-}, but it was no good because Riess was holding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a bigger full house. That allowed Riess to take down the pot pushing him over the starting stack mark.
