Easy Come, Easy Go

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Loek van Wely opened to 60,000 in the cutoff and Harrison Gimbel three-bet to 180,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and van Wely called to see a flop of {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Both players checked and the {q-Hearts} peeled off on the turn. Gimbel checked again and van Wely bet 100,000. It didn't take Gimbel long to call and the {j-Clubs} landed on the river. Gimbel checked one more time and van Wely fired another 150,000. Gimbel looked him up and van Wely showed {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair. Gimbel mucked his cards and now has fewer chips than before his previous double up.

Gimbel Doubles Through Ziskin

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Harrison Gimbel shoved from the cutoff for what looked like 340,000 and Alexander Ziskin called from the button to put him at risk.

Gimbel: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Ziskin: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Ziskin had the preflop advantage and Gimbel needed to improve in order to survive. The board ran out {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} pairing Gimbel's ten on the river, so he took the pot to double through Ziskin.

Ziskin Extends His Lead, Gimbel Getting Short

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Alexander Ziskin opened to 65,000 from the cutoff and Kevin MacDonald three-bet to 150,000 on the button. The action folded back to Ziskin who pushed forward a four-bet to 425,000. MacDonald thought for a brief moment and then ditched his cards.

Ziskin continues to push the action, slowly extending his chip lead over the rest of the field. Harrison Gimbel is on the short stack with just over 10 big blinds and will need to pick up a hand soon.

MacDonald Doubles Through Ziskin

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Kevin MacDonald
Kevin MacDonald

Maria Konnikova raised to 60,000 from the cutoff, Alexander Ziskin called from the small blind, and Kevin MacDonald three-bet shoved from the big blind for what looked like 475,000. Konnikova folded and Ziskin called to put MacDonald at risk.

Ziskin: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
MacDonald: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

MacDonald had the preflop advantage with the bigger pocket pair and Ziskin needed to improve in order to stack him. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} which changed nothing, so MacDonald took the pot to double up.
