Another Day in Paradise

We didn't walk up until the flop was out, but we can pretty much guess the preflop action. The heads-up pot was between the under-the-gun player and big blind Phil Collins, and we're almost certain that Collins was either a squeeze-raiser or a three-bettor before the flop because there was about 8,000 in the pot as the two men went forward.

The dealer spread out {8-Spades} {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, and Collins continued out with 3,500. His opponent called that bet, then another 6,500 after the {7-Hearts} turn. The river was a potential scare card, the {A-Spades}, but Collins kept the heat on with another 9,500. The call came a little bit quicker this time, and Collins tabled his {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} with a fair amount of confidence.

No good. The other gent tabled {6-Hearts} {8-Hearts}, and Collins has been reduced back down to about 46,000 chips now.
