Ramdin v. Mattern
We just caught the tail end of the hand, but the board read , and there were about 8,500 chips stacked in the pot. Ramdin was first to act, and he fired out 5,000 straight. That sent Mattern into the think tank for several minutes as a crowd of spectators began to huddle around the table. Mattern clutched a blue T5,000 chip in his hand, clearly trying to talk himself into or out of a call. After a long pause, the chip dropped from his hand and into the pot for a call.
Ramdin tabled , and his set was good enough. Mattern double-clutched his cards before sending them back to the dealer face-down.
That moves Mattern down to about 18,000, while Ramdin has climbed up over 40,000 here in the early going. We'll certainly be keeping an eye on this table if these two are going to go at it all day.
