Pocket Rockets for Cohen

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Christian Harder opened with a raise preflop under the gun and Mike Cohen just called from the button. Jason Deutsch then put in a three-bet from the small blind, Harder folded, and Cohen called to see a {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop.

We're not sure of the amounts but we do know that Deutsch bet and Cohen called, action that repeated on the {4-Clubs} turn to create a nearly 4-million chip pot headed to the {7-Diamonds} river.

Deutsch slowed down with a check and Cohen thought for a bit before doing the same. Deutsch showed [1x010x] but it was no good as Cohen rolled over the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}.

Eric Most Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,738)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Eric Most
Eric Most

Brandon Lulov raised to 180,000 from the cutoff only to have Eric Most three-bet jam for approximately 2 million from the button. Both blinds folded and Lolov snap-called.

Brandon Lulov: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Eric Most: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Lolov had the goods and Most didn't get so much as a sweat as the board ran out a dry {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to send him out the door in eighth place.

Deutsch Extends Lead

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jason Deutsch raised to 130,000 from early position and Brandon Lulov called next to act. The rest of the players folded and it was heads-up action to the flop, which came down {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Deutsch continued for 175,000 and Lulov called. On the {j-Clubs} turn, Deutsch bet 375,000 but he couldn't shake Lulov, who called to see the {k-Hearts} river.

Deutsch kept the pressure on by upping his bet to 875,000 and this time Lulov conceded the pot.

Loluv Wants It Most

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jason Deutsch raised to 135,000 from the cutoff and Brandon Lulov three-bet to 380,000 from the button. Eric Most then came in with a four-bet to 950,000 from the small blind and Deutsch got out of the way.

Not to be outdone, Lulov five-bet what appeared to be all in and Most didn't take too long to fold.

Slow Going

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

With the stacks relatively deep in relation to the blinds, significant action has dried up here in the middle of Level 27.

In a recent hand, Sam Ganzfried raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and Brandon Lulov defended his big blind. Both players then checked the {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop as well as the {8-Diamonds} turn.

When the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river, Lulov bet 145,000 and Ganzfried folded.
