Event #8: $25K GTD 8-Max NLH
Day 1 Completed
He has done it folks! After winning events on Wednesday and Thursday night, Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty has made it three wins in four nights, as he just took down the $25,000 Guaranteed 8-Max Event. He will pocket another $6,000 and change for his showing tonight, pushing his overall winning this series to over $20,000.
Hagerty started the final table near the bottom, with Don "dhimp20" Himpele holding the chip lead after busting Katie “KatieStone” Stone in a massive pot just before the final table. The action at the final table would kick off when David "TheKing411" Coleman busted out with pocket tens against the queens of “Edsebo.”
Not long after that, ”CheRalph” was sent to the rail in 7th place. He was followed out the door by “ndirish50”, who was at his second final table in a row after finishing in third place in last night’s 6-Max event. “ndirish50” would have to settle for sixth tonight, after busting to Hagerty, who would have pocket aces for what turned out to be just the first time at this final table.
Jason ”RiverMan” Lawhun was next to leave the final table, after finishing runner up twice already this week. He pulled a triple barrel bluff on Hagerty, but it didn’t work, as he was called by second paid on board.
Start of final table chip leader Don "dhimp20" Himpele was the next player to hit the rail. He would lose nearly all of his chips to "Edsebo", when his Ace-Five couldn't catch up to the Ace-Six of "Edsebo."
Hagerty would then relinquish the chip lead after sending a couple of double ups to his opponent, but he would then bust "Edsebo", before taking down the tournament with a couple of monster hands.
First, Hagerty won a massive flip with pocket jacks against the Ace-Queen of "nunu2018", and then, he would finish the tournament off in style, busting "nunu2018" holding the best hand in Hold'em, pocket aces. Scroll down for a full breakdown of this final table.

"nunu2018" had battled into the chip lead when him and Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty got all the chips in after a series of races. It was a classic coin flip, as Hagerty held pocket jacks against the of "nunu2018." The hand was all but over though after Hagerty flopped top set, and he turned a full house to cripple "nunu2018" down to just seven big blinds.

All three players traded the chip lead in a few hands, including ”Edsebo”, who went from chip leader to out in just three hands.
The hand that did most of the damage saw ”Edsebo” get his chips in slightly ahead, holding . "nunu2018" was the shorter stack, and was at risk holding . The flop of didn't change much, but the on the turn saw "nunu2018" shoot out int othe lead. A brick on the river left "Edsebo" with just seven big blinds.
Those chips would go in on the hand seen here, and while "Edsebo"'s sixes held on the flop and turn, he was counterfeited on the river.
This gives Hagerty the chip lead going into heads up play, as he looks for an incredible third title in four nights.

On the very next hand, Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty would shove all in from the small blind, easily having "Edsebo" covered in the big blind. "Edsebo" would snap call with , and he was dominating the pocket fives of Hagerty. A third king came right on the flop, and it was needed, as Hagerty would catch a third five on the turn.
No miracle case five came on the river though, and Hagerty had to pay out another double up.

"nunu2018" raised from the small blind, and chip leader Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty moved all in. "nunu2018" called with , but he was well behind the of Hagerty. That lead wouldn't last long though, as the flop flipped the script.
Hagerty would need the case queen for the win, or a jack for a chop, but neither of those cards would come, sending a big double over to "nunu2018."

Don "dhimp20" Himpele and "Edsebo" got their short stacks in preflop, with Himpele barely having "Edsebo" covered. "Edsebo" showed , and he was slightly ahead of the of Himpele.
The flop of cut down signifigantly on the chances of a chopped pot, while also giving Himpele four extra outs, ad a three would do now. However, the turn and river meant that the six kicker would end up playing, giving "Edsebo" a double up, and leaving Himpele with just two big blinds.
He was all in from the big blind on the next hand, and woud bust to "nunu2018", getting play down to three handed.

Jason ”RiverMan” Lawhun raised to 100,000, and Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty defended his big blind. The flop came down , and Hagerty check called a bet of 150,000 from Lawhun. The came on the turn, and Hagert check called a bet of 200,000 this time.
The hit the river, and a third check saw Lawhun shove all in for over 700,000. Hagerty used up about half his time bank before he called with , and the call was a good one, as Lawhun could only muster up for nine high.
With that pot, Hagerty is up to over three million, and looks in great shape to take down yet another title,
