Jean-Noel Thorel opened the action with a raise to 150,000 in the hijack and Big Tony three-bet on the button to 500,000. Ole Schemion moved all in for 1.49 million from the big blind, which forced a fold from Thorel and a call from Big Tony.

As soon as Big Tony could see the cards of his opponent, he could all but smile and rolled over his own cards very reluctantly, ready to leave. The Italian picked up a flush draw on the
