Marek Soukup Folds to Philipp Gruissem River Lead

Level 19 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Marek Soukup opened from early position for 450,000 and got calls from Sandro Pitzanti on the button and Philipp Gruissem in the small blind.

The flop was {4-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Soukup continued for 650,000 and while Pitzanti folded, Gruissem called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Gruissem changed tack to lead for 2,800,000.

Soukup squirmed in his chair for a while before Gruissem started talking to him, “It’s never easy, never easy with me. No shame in a fold. You have a ten? A jack? I could have ten jack. Four five.”

Eventually Soukup folded and the table wanted to see Gruissem’s bluff so he showed them his {4-Clubs}. He then slowly tuned over his other card to reveal his {4-Diamonds} flopped set.

Soukup said he had folded king-jack.
