Barny Boatman Among the Day 2 Leaders at the Caribbean Poker Party Festival $1,100 MILLIONS Open
The $1,100 MILLIONS Open at the Caribbean Poker Party Festival drew a total of 812 entries, but just 135 bagged chips at the conclusion of Day 2. Brit Barny Boatman bagged 18,400,000, just a hair less than chip leader Gerard Karlic with 18,605,000. Vincent Tremblay (18,035,000), Rainer Kempe (16,365,000), and Alexander Beresnev (14,575,000) round out the top five stacks.
Boatman bagged the chip lead in Day 1a, and although he had a setback or two over the course of Day 2, he won a massive pot on the penultimate hand of the night.
In addition to the current leaders, several more well-known players are still in the hunt for the $200,000 top prize. Among them are Mike Watson (10,330,000), Mike Leah (7,625,000), Thomas Marchese (3,640,000), Dylan Wilkerson (2,280,000) and partypoker Sponsored Pros Natalia Brevigliera (9,735,000) and Kristen Bicknell (7,075,000).
Unfortunately, not all the fan favorites survived the day. Among the fallen were Maria Ho, Benny Glaser, Michael Gathy, Chris Hunichen, Anthony Zinno, Samantha Abernathy, and partypoker Sponsored Pro Johnny Lodden.
Day 3 begins on Monday at noon local time and is scheduled to play out over eight levels. A total of 95 spots will be paid. A mincash is good for $2,000 and the winner will bank a $200,000 payday. The eventual champion will be determined Tuesday on Day 4. The Day 3 seat draw can be found below.
