Shimelfarb Gets Aces at the Right Time

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Gennady Shimelfarb saw action folded to him on the button and opened to 12,500. Stuart Luhm, who appeared to have chipped up to around 400,000 prior to the hand, announced he was all in. Shimelfarb quickly called when action got back to him.

Gennady Shimelfarb: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Stuart Luhm: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

"Two aces!" said Rob Wazwaz, correctly predicting Shimelfarb's hand much to Luhm's dissatisfaction.

"Oh s**t! Gimme that f*****g five!" said Luhm, standing up with his phone out to record the runout. The dealer did not comply, bringing a runout of {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to leave Shimelfarb's hand best. His stack was counted to be 170,000 and he was paid off, bringing him over 350,000 as Luhm finds himself back at 223,000.
