Window Card Gives Petronack a Double

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 6,000 ante
Jeff Petronack
Jeff Petronack

"All in," said Jeff Petronack from the small blind.

"Call," matched Ian Matakis out of the big blind.

Jeff Petronack: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Ian Matakis: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Petronack was in trouble and staring down the barrel for his tournament life as his king was dominated by that of Matakis. The dealer began the runout.

"Nice window," said Petronack as he had a birds-eye view of the seven in the window on a flop of {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. He would now need to fade the remaining jacks as well as running straight or flush cards to stay alive, and would do just that as the turn {2-Diamonds} and river {a-Diamonds} fell to complete the runout, earning Petronack a much-needed double along the way.
