Abela Doubles Back

We pick up the action in a three-way pot wiith about 1,300 chips in the pot to start the hand. The flop was already out on the table, showing {8-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {A-Spades}. After the first two players checked, Gilbert Abela moved all in for 14,450. Action was back on Boris Chamoroff now, and he quickly made the call with the covering stack. The third player in the hand looked to be considering a call as well, but he eventually ducked out, and it was heads up for Abela's tournament life.

Showdown
Abela: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Chamoroff: {8-Spades} {9-Spades}

Abela was poised to double up with his top pair, but he would need to fade a bunch of outs to stay alive. The turn card brought a safe {2-Diamonds}, and the {4-Diamonds} that filled out the board locked up the pot and the double. With his nut flush, Abela climbs back just over his starting stack with 30,200.
