Action folded to Nicholas Seward in the hijack and he raised to 30,000. It folded to Ernest Bush and he defended his big blind.
After the 2?Q?5? flop, Bush check-called a bet of 20,000 from Seward.
Both players checked after the J? on the turn, which brought the 4?. Bush then again check-called a bet from Seward, this time for 65,000. Bush quickly made the call and was shown J?10? for a pair of jacks, which got Bush to muck his hand and give the pot to Seward.
Adam Adler raised from under the gun to 30,000, and was called by Brian Altman on the button, and the big blind Sam Soverel.
After the flop came 3?A?2? all three players checked to the 7? on the turn. Soverel checked to Adler who bet out 100,000. Altman called and Soverel quickly mucked.
The river brought the A? and Adler checked to Altman, who bet out 250,000. Adler quickly mucked and gave the pot to Altman.
Barry Woods raised to 30,000 in the cutoff, Ernest Bush flatted on the button, and Valentyn Shabelnyk three-bet jammed from the small blind for 330,000, putting himself at risk.
Woods and Bush folded and the pot was pushed Shabelnyk's way.
The third and final day of the $10,300 Higher Roller at the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) is set to resume at 12:00 p.m. local time at Resorts World Las Vegas. Only 13 players are returning from a field that started with 170 entries. The remaining competitors all have their eyes set on the $385,750 top prize out of $1,649,000 prize pool, along with the coveted PokerStars trophy.
The chip leader heading into Day 3 is Sam Soverel (1,630,000), who is no stranger to high roller events. He sits with over 100 big blinds and has nearly that of second and third place combined. He looks to use his experience in the high stakes arena, as well as his overwhelming chip lead to propel himself to another victory.
