Chilaud Check-Raises
Picking up the action after the flop, Maxime Chilaud in middle position was involved in a hand with a player in the small blind as well as a player in late position. With the board reading the small blind checked as did Chilaud. The late position player led out for 3,000 and was called by the small blind player. Chilaud responded by check-raising to 11,000, a move that did not dissuade either of his opponents, both of whom made the call to keep action three-handed heading to the turn.
All three players checked through the turn to the river at which point the small blind player checked for a third time. Chilaud considered for a moment before following suit and the late position player quickly tapped the table to bring the action to a close. The small blind turned over for flopped trips, a hand sufficiently strong to best both of his opponents and take down a sizable pot. Chilaud, meanwhile, suffered a small hit to his still large stack.
