Day 1b of the $5,300 Mediterranean Poker Party Main Eventat the beautiful Merit Royal Diamond Hotel in Northern Cyprus begins at noon local time today.
Today will be the second of three starting flights, and players will have plenty of play as they will receive 300,000 starting chips and play a 12 60-minute levels, beginning at 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 big blind ante.
Day 1a attracted a whopping 349 total entries, nearly tripling the first flight of the same event in 2022. Of those 349, 89 managed to survive as the advanced to Day 2. "Ali G" found himself at the top of the leaderboard with a stack of 3,300,000, while Georgios Tsouloftas bagged 2,740,000.

One re-entry per flight is allowed, with late registration open until the end of Level 10. Those surviving Day 1 will return to play on May 10th as they battle for their piece of the $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The eventual champion will be crowned on May 12th.
