Flight C Final Chip Counts; Hewett Bags Lead

Play has ended with eight remaining in Flight C.

The chip leader of Flight C was Logan Hewett who was pumped up about bagging big and having an off day tomorrow, which he indicated he would be spending at "Spa World" before the 1 p.m resume for Day 2 on Sunday.

Don Iyengar is the first player to bag twice, as he bagged 317,000 in Flight A and will carry that stack over to Day 2. His bag in Flight C guarantees him a min cash.

A large three-way pot was in progress as the board read . All three players committed a large bet to the pot on the flop and the turn came the .

Raymond Martin was first to act and moved all in. After a few moments, David O'Brian made a motion like he was going to fold but held on to his cards a bit longer which caused the third player in the hand to fold out of turn face up .

O'Brian then folded and Martin collected the big pot to move toward the top of the chip counts in Flight C.

After Day 1 of the $400 buy-in, $150K GTD Spring Series Kick Off, produced 12 total survivors (six from Flight A and B each), today is promising to be a bigger day for the event.

Flight C is well underway with 59 entries listed on the tournament clock, making it the largest flight thus far. Registration will end at the conclusion of the current 20-minute break.
