Horacio Courdin opened the pot with a middle-position raise, and Robert Cezarescu three-bet from the button. In the small blind, Lee Marvin Funk moved all in for just about 16,000 total. Courdin quickly folded, and Cezarescu quickly called the small remainder to put Funk at risk.

. "Yes!" said Funk, sitting back down with a big sigh of relief. First ahead, then behind, he managed to catch back up to make his saving straight on the river. "Well, it looks like I'm going to be around a little longer than I had planned today," he announced in his Irish brogue.

Funk is up to about 37,000 after that win.
