Wilkie Joins the Field
Steve Wilkie has been seen registering and taking his seat in the tournament area with around 10 minutes left before the dinner break.
He stated before sitting down that he was planning to make it up for the 7 p.m. satellite with the idea of firing tomorrow's heat no matter what. When his plans changed and he found himself inside the Golden Gates Poker Parlour with time to spare, he decided to fire a shot at the Main Event instead.
WIlkie comes up to Black Hawk fresh off increasing his career earnings to $200,000 after chopping the Colorado Poker Championship in this very room last month for $60,114. The chop was with a friend of his, Nate Zoller, who was a final table participant at HPT Golden Gates here in July, where he took fourth place for $42,815.
