Another Huge Win For Bryer

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Randy Bryer just got 88,100 all in preflop from the big blind against a player holding {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, dominating Bryer's {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop looked grim, but the {a-Clubs} turn and {j-Clubs} river meant Bryer took it with aces, and he's shot up from about 30,000 to 178,600 in just 20 or so tournament minutes.

Bryer Busts Grise, Triples Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ben Grise
Ben Grise

Randy Bryer opened to 6,000 under the gun, and Ben Grise shoved all in for about 40,000. A player in the blinds moved in as well for 45,000, and Bryer snapped for less.

Bryer: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Grise: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Third player: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

"B*******," the player with queens said. "How does he have aces there? Plenty of ladies left..."

None emerged though, and no jacks hit either as it ran out {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Bryer had 31,500 and tripled up, while Grise was busted by the queens in the side pot.

Eldridge's Slide Complete

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
David Eldridge
David Eldridge

Chip leader just a few hours ago, David Eldridge just lost the last of his stack to Freddy Hamad.

Eldridge, down to his last 55,000 or so to start the hand, got the last of it in on a {10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but was crushed by Hamad's {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}. No ten arrived to save Eldridge on the last two streets.

Hamad, an Illinois native, has a WSOPC ring and just short of $100,000 in career cashes.

Wark Doubles Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Steven Wark shoved for 20,900 over an early-position raise of 4,000, and the raiser called with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Wark had him dominated with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and though a three-diamond board gave Wark a scare on the turn, he held up for the double.

Midena Runs Two Pair

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Tom Midena bet 2,000 from middle position after his big blind opponent checked a {2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, and the big blind checked. Midena rapped a chip after his opponent checked the {j-Diamonds} turn, and the board completed with {q-Diamonds}. The big blind checked and immediately called when Midena bet 5,200, and the latter showed {q-}{j-} for two pair.
