Guillaume Soumier had lifetime live poker tournament winnings of ￡4,455 until he decided to venture to Luton and compete in the ￡250 buy-in 2022 GUKPT Luton Mini Main Event. Soumier's decision turned out to be a great one because he came out on top of a 533-strong field to bank ￡30,400 of the ￡117,260 prize pool.
Soumier's largest score, prior to this impressive victory, tipped the scales at ￡2,700, his reward for winning a ￡57 buy-in tournament in Manchester back in August 2018.
