Hong Kong Stars' Guo Dong has won match 118 in the Global Poker League. He won the second 6-max heat of the day of the Eurasia Conference by beating Igor Yaroshevsky heads up.
Dong recovered very well from an early exit in the first match of the day. He came back and took revanche by raking in the seven points for first place.
The second heat looked nothing like the first encounter. Dario Sammartino, second in heat one, was the first one to leave, followed quickly by the winner of the first heat, Dominik Nitsche.
Liv Boeree scored her second fourth place of the day before Alexandre Luneau was eliminated in third. Yaroshevsky started the one on one battle with 100,000 chips, against Guo Dong's 50,000 points.
Dong quickly turned the tables and never looked back. The first all-in of the heads up match was the deciding one and Dong got the maximum score. Helping his team to a tied second place in the league table.

Igor Yaroshevsky was blinded down to 42,000 chips in the 1,500/3,000-level. Guo Dong limped in from the button with and Yaroshevsky decided to go for it with his . Dong called immediately and was in good shape to win this heat.
The board ran out an uneventful and Yaroshevsky had to settle for second place.
Yaroshevsky is probably not very disappointed about his second place. His five points increase the Moscow Wolverines lead in the Eurasia Conference standings.

The board gave Luneau a pair, but the wasn't much of a help. The Frenchman was sent to the rail and raked up 3 points for his third place.
Yaroshevsky didn't only get the chips of Luneau but also half of his 14-minute game clock. As well as the chips, he could use the time very well. After his time out he was left with only eight seconds on his own clock.

Dominik Nitsche couldn't pull off a double win today. He just busted in fifth in the second 6-max heat of the Eurasian Conference.
While holding he saw a flop with Igor Yaroshevsky. The Moscow Wolverines player flopped big with his when the appeared. Nitsche called a bet with his overcards.
The turn got him in trouble and he couldn't get rid of his hand anymore. On the river he called a shove and was eliminated in fifth place.
