Kelopuro Takes the Lead

Level 34 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Sami Kelopuro made it 168,000 to go and was called by Joni Jouhkimainen on the button. The two Finns headed to the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop on which Kelopuro bet 233,000 and earned a call. He fired another 560,000 on the {6-Diamonds} turn, which was matched by Jouhkimainen.

Kelopuro then jammed the {7-Hearts} river for 1,392,835. Jouhkimainen, who only had his opponent covered by one blind, went deep into the tank. Eventually, he opted to fold and that pot propelled Kelopuro into the lead.
