Dzivielevski Wins Small Pot; Leikkonen Collects Big One

Level 35 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Christian Jeppsson raised to 220,000 in the cutoff and Yuri Dzivielevski called on the button. The duo headed to the {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop on which Jeppsson bet 213,900 and Dzivielevski called. The {k-Hearts} turn and {a-Clubs} river were checked, Jeppsson tabled {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Dzivielevski won the pot with {10-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The next hand saw Daniel Dvoress with a raise to 220,000 and Markus Leikkonen filled up out of the big blind. The flop brought {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Leikkonen check-called for 150,000. He did so again for 500,000 on the {k-Clubs} turn and check-called for 1,070,000 on the {5-Spades} river. Dvoress rolled over the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} but Leikkonen had that beat with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush.

Leikkonen Is "Running Hot"

Level 35 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Markus Leikkonen earned yet another pot when he flat-called a raise to 250,000 by "xyzpoker" and called a bet worth 187,500 on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. "xyzpoker" then checked in the cutoff on the {2-Diamonds} turn and Leikkonen on the button made it 337,500 to go, shutting down his table neighbor.

Leikkonen then min-raised to 200,000 in the hijack and was called by George Wolff in the cutoff and Christian Jeppsson out of the big blind. As they checked to the {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} river, Leikkonen bet 225,000 and Jeppson was the only one to check-call.

Leikkonen revealed {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for aces and fives, earning the pot against the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} of Jeppsson. A few seconds passed and the Finn then used the "running hot" emoji.

Leikkonen Wins in Showdown; Jeppsson Without

Level 35 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Markus Leikkonen won the last pot of the previous level in a battle big blind versus button. Timothy Adams had raised to 188,000 and earned a call by Leikkonen. They checked to the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} river on which Leikkonen's bet of 148,800 was called. He tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair, which beat the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} of Adams.

After the blinds went up, Daniel Dvoress min-raised and called a three-bet to 700,000 by Christian Jeppsson. The {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop was checked and Dvoress check-folded the {9-Spades} turn when facing a bet worth 857,000.

Konstantin Maslak Eliminated in 9th Place ($81,478)

Konstantin Maslak
Konstantin Maslak

Blinds 40,000-80,000

Konstantin Maslak moved all-in for 775,407 in the cutoff as the smallest stack at the table. Yuri Dzivielevski called out of the small blind and Timothy Adams forfeited his big blind.

Konstantin Maslak: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Yuri Dzivielevski: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

It was a fair flip for Maslak but he found no help on the {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs} board to become the 9th place finisher.

Dvoress Pulls Further Ahead

Blinds 40,000-80,000

The first big pot between the two chip leaders was brewing. Yuri Dzivielevski made it 168,000 to go from an early position and Daniel Dvoress flat-called on the button. On the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, both players checked and the {k-Clubs} fell on the turn. Dzivielevski now bet 409,500 to earn a call and fired again for 450,450 on the {3-Diamonds} river.

Dvoress used his time bank and raised to 1,784,000, Dzivielevski snap-folded.

The next two pots also went to Dvoress, who cemented his status as chip leader.
