Lens Sees Cody's Exit

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Roger Lens
Roger Lens

Roger Lens limped in from early position, the small blind completed, and Dave Cody checked the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} and after a small blind check, Cody bet 8,000. Lens called and the small blind folded.

Both players checked the {3-Clubs} turn. The {a-Spades} completed the board and Cody bet 12,000. Lens then shoved, and Cody called off his 160,000 or so remaining chips.

Cody showed {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} but top pair top kicker could not beat the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} two pair of Lens, sending the big pot to Lens who now holds the chip lead.

Miles Spikes River to Knock Out Opponent

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The button jammed in their short stack of 20,000 chips and Jimmy Miles called in the big blind for not too much more.

Button: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Jimmy Miles: {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Miles was in relatively good shape with two overcards as the dealer spread the {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. He had picked up a gutshot draw, but the {2-Diamonds} turn changed nothing. However, the {10-Diamonds} hit the river to send the pot to Miles and send his opponent to the rail.

Kehren Triples With Tens

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player in early position opened to 14,000 and Nick Kehren jammed in his stack of around 28,000 in middle position. The small blind called, and so did the early position player.

The two players with action checked it down as the board came {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Kehren showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} while both other players appeared to have ace-queen which wasn't enough, and Kehren took the pot to stay alive.

Miles Ousts Opponent Before Dinner

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On the final hand before dinner break, a player limped in early position and action folded to Jimmy Miles in the small blind. Miles jammed and the early position player called off her 20,000 or so chips as hands were revealed.

Early Position: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Jimmy Miles: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop put Miles further ahead, but the {10-Diamonds} turn provided a sweat. However, the board completed with the {3-Clubs}, keeping Miles in front and sending him the chips just before dinner.

It appears two players who have previously won an FPN National Championship remain.

Joel Smith of Minnesota and Jimmy Miles of North Dakota have won the FPN main event in previous years, and they both have a shot at glory again today as they attempt to continue to spin up their stacks.
