River Prevents Ivarsson from Adding to Big Stack

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Alexander Ivarsson appears to be the chip leader right now, and he nearly added to it by putting Tibor Nagygyorgy on the ropes.

We picked up the action with 8,325 out in front of Nagygyorgy, and Ivarsson with a big stack of chips out in front of him in the big blind. Nagygyorgy didn't seem happy about it, but called off for roughly 20,000.

Nagygyorgy: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Ivarsson: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Ivarsson had his opponent crushed, and he stayed in the lead on the {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop. The {10-Spades} turn gave Nagygyorgy a flush draw, but it didn't come in as the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Nagygyorgy thought he'd been eliminated, but then the table pointed out there was two pair on the board. That meant Nagygyorgy chopped with his ace kickers and Ivarsson was denied absorbing the entire pot into his stack.
