Jorryt van Hoof Eliminated In 8th Place (49,400)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Jorryt van Hoof
Jorryt van Hoof

Jorryt van Hoof opened the pot for 55,000 and Leonid Markin called from the small blind.

They saw a heads-up flop of {4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Markin decided to lead for 60,000. Van Hoof pondered for a short while before splashing out a chunk of red T25000 chips for a big raise. Markin announced all in and van Hoof called instantly.

Van Hoof had flopped top set {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} but he was in for a nasty surprise as Markin tabled the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} straight. The turn card {8-Diamonds} and river {k-Spades} couldnt pair the board for the November Niner and his chips were pushed to Markin who hit the 3,000,000 mark.
