Tempers Fray on Table 57
The temperature in the main tournament area is rising and already there's been a few tense moments. None more so than over on Table 57 where the anger spilled over after a big hand.
The hand in question had seen Henri Ojala move all in preflop with Filippo Bisciglia having made a minimum raise behind him. In the small blind Jakob Karlsson, who previously came second at the EPT San Remo won by Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, pushed all in behind him. Apparently there was an issue with Diego Gomez in the big blind, but we'll deal with that after the hand. Bisciglia tanked for several minues and had the clock called on him before he finally folded with barely a few seconds left. "Queens," he whispered to the player to his left.
Karlsson:
Ojala:
The board came and Karlsson scooped the pot and Bisciglia was satisified with his fold. At this point, Clyde Tjauw Foe took issue with what Diego Gomez had done in the big blind when action was on the Spaniard.
Gomez claimed he was putting out change for the dealer, Foe was not impressed saying, "You put out two chips and that's a call!"
Gomez, "I am a gentleman!"
Foe, "You're not a gentleman."
The voices of the pair got louder and louder as they began to shout at each other about respect and neither showed any signs of backing down. Tournament director Toby Stone came by and told the two they had to stop now otherwise security would be throwing both of them out. This had the desired effect, however, to make sure, there is now a seven-foot security guard on permanent watch next to their table.
