More for Soika

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

From early position, Stephen Chidwick limped in for 60,000. In the next seat in middle position, Ihar Soika raised to 170,000. Play folded back to Chidwick, and he called to see the flop come down {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Chidwick checked, Soika bet 200,000, and Chidwick folded.

Pollak Finds Aces

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Carlos Chadha opened for 135,000 from early position, and Benjamin Pollak in the big blind was the only caller.

Pollak check called a 150,000 bet on {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and checked again once the {5-Spades} hit the turn. Chadha bet out 225,000, and Pollak shoved all in for 665,000 total.

It wasn't all that much more to Chadha, but he decided not to risk it and continue with his 900,000 in chips.

Maxim Panyak Eliminated in 9th Place (73,600)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Maxim Panyak
Maxim Panyak

Maxim Panyak opened under the gun plus one for 120,000, and two positions down it was Carlos Chadha who made the call from middle position. Ihar Soika in the cutoff thought for a bit, cut out 375,000, and slid it over the line.

The players all instantly folded to Panyak, and the Russian announced all in. Before we could check how much it was, Chadha had already folded, and Soika had already made the call.

Ihar Soika: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Maxim Panyak: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} did nothing for Panyak, and he los the 3 million pot to the man from Belarus. The remaining 8 players are now guaranteed 90,900.

Canadian high-stakes player Timothy Adams tells us how his first ever EPT event was the 50,000 Super High Roller in Barcelona. The story behind this event is quite amazing, as Adams bluffed away all his chips on the feature table against pocket kings.

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

From middle position, Ihar Soika raised to 120,000. Ismail Erkenov called from the cutoff seat, and Maxim Panyak called from the big blind to see the flop come down {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Everyone checked, and the {Q-Spades} landed on the turn. Panyak led with a bet of what looked to be 265,000, and both of his opponents folded. Panyak showed just the {2-Clubs}.

Dmitry Yurasov Eliminated in 10th Place (60,850)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Dimitri Yurasov opened to 120,000 under the gun, and action folded to Ihar Soika in the big blind. Soika moved all in, effectively not at risk himself but putting Yurasov to the ultimate test. Yurasov instantly made the call for 825,000, and the cards had to be opened again.

Yurasov: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Soika: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Again sixes for Soika, and again he would win. The flop was perfect for Soika: {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and {3-Clubs} on the river were no good for Yurasov, and with a bad beat he left the tournament.

Roumeliotis: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Soika: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs} didn't do Roumeliotis any good, and he left in 11th place.

Soika Wins a Big One from Mercier

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jason Mercier opened to 120,000 under the gun, and Ihar Soika three bet to 330,000 from the small blind. Dmitry Yurasov in the big blind thought for a long time, but folded eventually. Mercier made the call in position.

Soika made a 275,000 c-bet on {2-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and Mercier didn't waste too much time calling.

The {6-Spades} made Soika check, and Mercier cut out 480,000 and slid it forward. Soika thought for a bit, and made the call.

Both players checked the {8-Hearts} on the river, and Soika showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} to take it down.
