Time Runs Out for Murthy
There was roughly 65,000 in the pot on the K?9?Q?6?J? completed board, with Neel Murthy and Beka Iordanishvili heads up.
Murthy checked in the big blind, and Iordanishvilli put around a pot-sized bet out in front of him. Murthy clicked it 126,000 and was met with a snap-jam for 242,000 by his opponent.
"Don't know why I had to be so greedy," exclaimed Murthy as he entered the tank.
His thought process lasted for several minutes and he continuously beat himself up over the spot.
"I really thought it was less than that," he groaned. "You didn't even think about it."
