Fans of the great game of Pot-Limit Omaha are in for a treat, as some of the best four-card players in the world are expected to gather today at 2 p.m. local time at Casino Barcelona for Event #40: �10,200 Pot-Limit Omaha of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona.

The 2023 edition attracted 137 entrants, generating a �1,328,900 prize pool. Norway's Tom-Aksel Bedell walked away with the title and �330,500 first-place prize, after defeating Argentinian Roberto Sagra (�206,450) heads-up, while Spaniard Juan Maceiras (�147,500) completed the podium places. That triumph comprised Bedell's third EPT title, after victories in events at EPT Madrid 2012 and EPT Barcelona 2014.

The tournament will be a two-day affair featuring 30-minute levels, with players permitted a single reentry within the ten levels of late registration. Players will sit down with a 50,000 starting stack, at blind level 100/200, with a 200 big blind ante.

Play will continue until 15% of the field remains, with all players progressing to Day 2 being in the money. Day 2 is scheduled to begin at noon local time on Thursday, September 5.
