Guitart Triples, then Doubles
Level 9
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Victoria Livschitz opened to 2,400 from under the gun and Adria Guitart, who had started the hand with a bit less than that, called from the hijack before Corrado Boson called from the big blind.
All three players checked the flop, turn and river leading to a final board of K?K?Q?J?10?. Guitart triumphantly turned over A?6? for the Broadway straight to take the main pot and triple up. Boson did not connect at all with his 8?3? while Livschitz' 5?5? was good to take the very small side pot.
Guitart shoved from early position for 7,400 the next hand and was called by Tom Seck who covered him.
Adria Guitart: 8?8?
Tom Seck: K?10?
The board ran out 8?A?4?2?7? giving Guitart a set of eights to double up.
