A Couple of Hands from the Outer Tables
Day 1b has grown big enough that it now takes up space in two separate rooms in the venue. PokerNews ventured to the other room to catch some action from the outer tables as well.
In the first hand that was observed, there was a board of Q?8?10?K? with around 9,000 in the middle. Miha Travnik was in the hijack and checked and so did his opponent, Virgile Turchi, from the cutoff. The 2? river fell and Travnik checked again. Turchi put out a bet of 3,000 and that spelled the end of the hand as Travnik quickly folded.
On another table, Lukasz Szymon Grossman opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 1,200 and received a call from Blaz Zerjav on the button. Jimmy Kebe was in the big blind and made it 5,000 to go, which Grossman called. However, Zerjav had a surprise in store for his foes, as he put in the back-raise four-bet to 12,000.
Both Kebe and Grossman had seen enough and laid their hands down.
