Sammartino Makes a Reluctant Call
Dario Sammartino and Viacheslav Goryachev were heads up to the turn on 10?9?J?3?. Sammartino bet 21,000 chips into the pot of 40,000 from the big blind before Goryachev raised it to 51,000. Sammartino made the call and the Q? river rolled off.
Sammartino now checked and Goryachev asked him how much he had behind. After receiving the answer of 130,000, Goryachev bet out 50,000. Sammartino spent some time in the tank, shook his head, but eventually called with a big sigh.
