Watson Left on Crumbs, Busts Next Hand

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded to Jorryt van Hoof in the small blind who ripped all in for 148,000. Mike Watson quickly called in the big blind and the cards were on their backs.

Jorryt van Hoof: {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Mike Watson: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop of {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} left Van Hoof in the lead but Watson had a wealth of outs. The {4-Spades} on the turn was a brick and the {9-Hearts} on the river also missed Watson as he was left with just 13,000 chips.

On the next hand, Watson got his last few chips in the middle from the small blind with {5-Spades}{4-Spades}. He was called by Kent Staahle in the big blind who tabled {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Watson was unable to connect for the second time and found himself on the rail.

Ponakovs Doubles Through Kisacikoglu

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 22,000 and then faced the button shove by Aleksejs Ponakovs. The High Roller regular from Turkey asked for a count and mulled it over for a while, pushing forward his remaining time banks when it was deemed to be for 208,000.

Ultimately, Kisacikoglu called and was pipped by a notch.

Aleksejs Ponakovs: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Ponakovs put a major dent into the stack of Kisacikoglu, who dropped below nine blinds.

Greenwood Chips Back Up

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sam Greenwood made it 22,000 to go and was called by Mike Watson in the small blind, Kent Staahle in the big blind also came along. On a {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop, it checked to Greenwood and he bet 25,000. Only Watson called and the {k-Hearts} turn was checked.

After the {q-Hearts} river, Watson checked again and Greenwood now bet 55,000. That was eventually paid off by Watson, who silently flicked in calling chips. Greenwood rolled over the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for broadway and that won the pot.

Round 3 Goes to Heath

Sam Greenwood opened to 22,000 in the cutoff and Ben Heath re-raised to 64,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Greenwood called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Greenwood quickly checked and Heath put together a bet of 37,000. Greenwood used all of his 30 seconds and then slid his cards to the muck.

Thanarattrakul Gets a Shove Through

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Kent Staahle check-raised from 16,000 to 40,000 and Sam Greenwood called. The duo headed to the {q-Clubs} turn and Staahle now bet 60,000, which prompted a fold from Greenwood.

Over on the other table, Orpen Kisacikoglu limped the small blind and Kannapong Thanarattrakul raised to 32,000 from the big blind. Kisacikoglu limp-raised to 82,000 and Thanarattrakul then used one time bank extension before pushing all-in. That ended the hand right there as Kisacikoglu quickly folded.

Brito Silva Doubles from the Big Blind

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action folded to Adrian Mateos in the small blind who eyed up Pablo Brito Silva's stack in the big blind. Mateos announced all in and Brito Silva quickly called off his stack of 188,000.

Pablo Brito Silva: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Brito Silva grabbed a stranglehold of the hand with a set of eights. The {k-Spades} on the turn meant Mateos was drawing dead to the {7-Hearts} on the river as he passed over nearly half of his stack.

Greenwood Eliminates O'Dwyer

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Sam Greenwood made a bet of 40,000 and Steve O'Dwyer called.

The {4-Clubs} landed on the river and O'Dwyer checked for the third time. Greenwood pushed out a bet of 200,000 and O'Dwyer wasted little time before calling off his stack of around 80,000. Greenwood tabled {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} while O'Dwyer could only muster {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a smaller two pair.
