Tomas Paiva Eliminated in 5th Place (241,230)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Tomas Paiva
Tomas Paiva

Gaby Livshitz raised it up to 250,000 with the {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Tomas Paiva called in the big blind with the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. On a flop of {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Paiva checked and Livshitz bet 275,000 into a pot of 680,000. Paiva raised to 1,400,000 with 125,000 behind and called the shove of Livshitz with his top pair.

Livshitz had a flush draw and gutshot, and the {8-Hearts} turn improved Livshitz to a flush.

"Not over," he said as Paiva had trips and needed the board to pair. A blank {6-Clubs} came on the river and that sent Paiva to the rail in 5th place for 241,230.

Livshitz consolidated his lead with four players remaining and all remaining contenders have already 316,780 locked up for their efforts.
