Wyrzykiewicz Spoils Banic's Chances

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Remi Wyrzykiewicz saw action folded to him in the small blind and shoved all in to put Ivan Banic all in from the big blind for roughly his last 380,000. Banic thought for a couple of seconds and then announced a call.

Ivan Banic: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Remi Wyrzykiewicz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Banic had called with a suited, two-gapped queen only to find dominated by an even better suited hand. The flop came {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and was of no help to Banic, however the turn {k-Spades} did give him flush outs. Unfortunately for him, the river fell {j-Clubs} and became the last card of his tournament. He got up and made his way to the payout desk; meanwhile, Wyrzykiewicz reached over to grab the stacks of chips formerly held by Banic to pull them in and add to his stack.

Grafton Eliminates Yared

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton raised from the hijack to 60,000 and Ghassan Yared three-bet from the button to 130,000. It folded back to Grafton who called to see the flop.

The first three community cards were {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Grafton checked to Yared. He continued with a bet of 135,000 and Grafton flicked in the call.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and both players checked this time to see the {j-Clubs} complete the board on the river.

Grafton bet 580,000 which was enough to put Yared all in who had 565,000 behind. Yared didn't take too long to throw in a chip to call and Grafton opened up {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the nut-flush. Yared showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for an inferior flush.

''Unlucky sir, very unlucky'' Grafton told Yared before he stacked the chips and Yared walked off.

Grafton and Yared Battling

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sam Grafton bet 45,000 from the button on a {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and Ghassan Yared made it 100,000 from the big blind. Grafton peeled and both checked the {6-Spades} turn for a {9-Hearts} river. Yared bet 50,000 and Grafton quickly called but couldn't beat {7-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The next hand, the board read {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} on the river and Yared bet 90,000. Grafton announced 350,000, most of his remaining chips. Yared thought only briefly before folding.

Fontaine Check-Bombs the Flop

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mikhail Zub was on the button and opened to 65,000 upon action folding to him. Jean-Rene Fontaine defended his big blind and the two saw a flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Fontaine checked and Zub put out a continuation-bet of 60,000. Fontaine check-raised all in.

After a few moments, Zub asked the dealer how much the raise was for and Fontaine's stack was counted to be 545,000. He took another 40 seconds or so and then sent his cards to the muck.

"Show the bluff!" said a player at the table.

"No bluff," replied Fontaine with a smile as he raked in the pot.

Zub Doubles With Jacks

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Mikhail Zub
Mikhail Zub

Gab Yong Kim raised under the gun to 70,000 and the next seat had Mikhail Zub in it who pushed all in for 500,000. Janosch Hain then goes all in as well for 1,200,000. Kim folded when it folded back to him and they opened up.

Mikhail Zub: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Janosch Hain: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} gave both players a little bit of hope, but the {4-Hearts} turn and {a-Spades} river awarded Zub with the best hand.

Two Pairs of Bullets; Two Players Shot Down

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Hand #1:

An all in and call were overheard from Table 4 as Tobias Heinsdorf had shoved his last 400,000 or so in from the cutoff and received action from Lior Tal in the small blind.

Tobias Heinsdorf: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Lior Tal: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Heinsdorf picked up a pair of kings on the flop {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds} but that was as close as he would come to cracking Tal's aces as the turn {6-Clubs} and river {j-Hearts} completed the runout with Tal sending Heinsdorf to the payout line just a few minutes after returning from break.

Hand #2:

Another all-in and call was then heard on an adjacent table, with Dmitry Yurasov all in on the button against Jan-Eric Schwippert, who was in the cutoff.

Dmitry Yurasov: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Jan-Eric Schwippert: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Much like the hand prior, Yurasov also flopped top pair as the board came {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} but would fail to improve any further on the turn {10-Spades} and river {9-Hearts} to result in his elimination just moments after Heinsdorf's.

Meanwhile, both Tal and Schwippert now find themselves with over 2 million in chips and are among the largest stacks in the room with 30 players remaining.
