Kempe Delays the Double
Level 22
: 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
The action folded to Daniel Dvoress in the small blind who ripped all in. Rainer Kempe was in the big blind with the smaller of the two stacks, having exactly 300,000 in front of him. Kempe started to tank, eyeing up the other table with a pay jump on the line.
"I'm not folding. I'm in pretty good shape," Kempe said as he tossed in a time extension.
"How good of shape?" Dvoress questioned. "King-jack or something?"
"I have kings," Kempe laughed.
Eventually, Kempe made the call and turned over against the of Dvoress. The board ran out and Kempe's ace-high was good enough for the double up.
