Loeser Three-Bets Grieco; Riess Catches Katzenberger Bluffing

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Nicola Grieco raised to 460,000 with the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Manig Loeser in the big blind three-bet to 1,550,000 with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Grieco tossed his cards into the muck and Loeser claimed the pot.

In the next hand, Viktor Katzenberger raised the button to 260,000 with {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Loeser folded in the small blind with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Ryan Riess defended the big blind with {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Riess checked over to Katzenberger, who bet 180,000.

Riess called to see the {3-Clubs} turn and checked once more. Katzenberger checked behind and the {5-Diamonds} fell on the river. Riess checked the third street in a row and Katzenberger made it 360,000 to go, which prompted Riess to use one time bank.

The call with ace-high by Riess followed and he scooped a healthy pot to pull closer to Katzenberger.
