Sousa Takes From Falcone

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Rui Sousa
Rui Sousa

Rui Sousa made it 550,000 to go with the {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} on the button and won the big blind and big blind ante of Simon Brandstrom.

Sousa opened to 550,000 one hand later with the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Marton Czuczor called with {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} in the big blind. On a {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Czuczor checked and released his cards into the muck when he faced a continuation bet of Sousa.

Czuczor limped the small blind with {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Diego Falcone checked {q-Clubs}{8-Spades} in the big blind. Falcone flopped the second pair on {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Czuczor bet 250,000, which Falcone called.

After the {k-Diamonds} turn, Czuczor slowed down and checked. Falcone bet 375,000 and that won the pot.

In a battle of the blinds, Falcone with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Sousa with {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} created a pot of 1,850,000 to the {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Falcone bet 1,100,000 and Sousa called to see the {6-Diamonds} on the turn.

Both players checked to the {j-Spades} river and Falcone used a time bank before betting 1,350,000. Sousa also used two of his time bank extensions and made the call to win a decent pot off Falcone.
