56 Players Progress From Day 1b
Day 1b saw 376 players take part in the 20-minute turbo blind flight with 56 players progressing into Day 2 of the EPT National on Friday, August, 24.
Many players who were unable to build a stack in the noon starting Day 1a flight jumped in the 7 p.m. flight with the likes of Jason Wheeler, Ben Heath, and Aylar Lie doing so to mixed outcomes.
Wheeler and Heath were unable to progress, but Lie bagged a stack worth 186,000.
Benny Glaser alongside Team PokerStars Pro member Jeff Gross was also part of the unlucky group to depart during the play.
Some notable stacks include Jack Salter (319,000) and Rafael Fernandez Diaz (360,000).
Allan Ribeiro De Mello was the final player to depart the field without a bag for Day 2 when he ran king-queen into ace-ten and was unable to get any help from the board.
A full list of the 1b end-of-day chip counts will be posted when available.
PokerNews will be back with coverage of the final two EPT National starting flights from Noon tomorrow so be sure to check back in with us then.
