Kaverman Bubbles PokerStars EPT Barcelona 100,000 Super High Roller

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Matthias Eibinger plonked a stack worth two million in the middle and it folded around to small blind Byron Kaverman whose stack was dwindling at around the seven big blind mark.

He called and Ahadpur Khangah folded his big blind.

Byron Kaverman: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Matthias Eibinger: {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

For the second all-in in a row, Eibinger was dominated, and his job got tougher on the {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} flop.

However, help came on the {7-Spades} turn as he made two pair and the {9-Spades} sealed the elimination of Kaverman in eighth place. The seven remaining players are all guaranteed 275,050.

Eibinger Goes Runner Runner to Bust Katz in Brutal Fashion

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz raised to 150,000 and after a brief pause Matthias Eibinger three-bet all in. The other players folded before action was back on Katz.

"Go on then," said Katz before calling and tabling {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Eibinger showed {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The flop came {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} giving Katz top set.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} giving Eibinger a flush draw, and the river was the {4-Clubs} completing his flush and eliminating Katz in ninth place.

Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Matthias Eibinger opened to 2,500,000 from middle position. Benjamin Pollak decided that this was his chance and he quickly moved all in for 610,000. The remaining players all folded.

Matthias Eibinger: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Benjamin Pollak: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and despite the flush sweat on the turn, Pollak held and doubled up.

Eibinger's Aggression Tasks Kaverman

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Matthias Eibinger had been opening pretty consistently to 130,000 with blinds at 30,000/60,000. However on this occasion, he opened to 2,000,000 from the hijack with short stacks occupying most of the later positions.

It folded to Byron Kaverman in the small blind, who had a pained expression during his extended tank. Kaverman used three time extensions before folding.

Adams Doubles Through Badziakouski

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 130,000 on the button and Timothy Adams three-bet all in for 1,185,000 from the big blind.

"Not getting away from this one," said Badziakouski before calling.

Mikita Badziakouski: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Timothy Adams: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Badziakouski was ahead for now, but the {j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} soon changed things. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Badziakouski failed to hit his two outer on the {9-Spades} river as Adams earned himself the full double up.

Nine Left; Seven Cash - But Only One Winner!

Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

With no late eliminations yesterday, the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona 100,000 Super High Roller enters its final day just two spots off the money with nine players remaining.

A min-cash is worth 275,050 and several players were already eyeing that figure up last night, with cagey play and very few called all-ins meaning the average stack has dwindled to just over twenty big blinds as we start Day 3.

The players in the danger zone include Frenchman Benjamin Pollak, Canadian Jean Ferreira and American Byron Kaverman, all of whom have stacks less than 15 big blinds.

At the other end of the spectrum, Matthias Eibinger is the only player over three million, with Mikita Badziakouski and Day 1 chip leader Ahadpur Khangah breathing down his neck.
