Calderone Talks Himself into More Chips

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The full board of {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} was out between Eros Calderone and Oleksandr Sadovyi. Sadovyi had checked to Calderone who had bet enough to put his opponent all in.

Sadovyi had around 150,000 behind and was tanking.

"You are bluffing?" asked Sadovyi.

"No," replied Calderone, eliciting a swear from Sadovyi. "I think you play queen-jack," continued Calderone.

"I have queen-jack," said Sadovyi.

"Then you must call," said Calderone. "It's the best moment to double up or just lose."

At this moment, a third player in the hand tapped the table and then tapped his watch. "I have a flight," he said, and the table laughed.

Eventually, with less than ten seconds remaining, Sadovyi open-folded the {q-Clubs} with Calderone turning over the {9-Hearts} and taking down the pot.
