Badziakouski "Back to Life"

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski pushed once to claim the blinds and antes, almost doubling his stack as a result. Then, he was in the big blind and Sam Greenwood asked for a count before pushing all in from the small blind. Badziakouski peeked at both hole cards and called instantly after with the word "nuts." Greenwood replied "I have a hand that can beat that."

Mikita Badziakouski: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Sam Greenwood: {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} gave Greenwood a straight draw, and he picked up some more outs on the {5-Clubs} turn. But the {A-Diamonds} river bricked and Ali Reza Fatehi said "nice, back to life" to Badziakouski.

Thorel's Aces Leave Badziakouski Short

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

After the players had taken a short break, they returned and the first hand saw Mikita Badziakouski limp in from the cutoff. Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 55,000 and Badziakouski moved all in. Thorel snap-called and premium hands were tabled.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} and Badziakouski said "spade is no good," then asked for a jack. His wish was granted with the {J-Diamonds} turn and he followed it up with another request: "Nine please." Instead, the {7-Spades} fell on the river and Thorel doubled up for 428,000 to leave Badziakouski with just six big blinds.

Badziakouski Takes from Fatehi

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski limped from the button and Ali Reza Fatehi checked his option in the big blind. Both checked the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop and the {A-Diamonds} turn. On the {3-Spades} river, Fatehi checked and called a bet worth 50,000 by Badziakouski. The latter showed {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} and that won the pot.

One hand later, Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 40,000 and Fatehi's shove for just over 200,000 forced a fold.

Fatehi Shoves Three Times

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski won a small pot on the turn against Sam Greenwood and Ali Reza Fatehi then shoved twice to claim the blinds and antes.

One hand later, Badziakouski raised to 33,000 from the button and Fatehi called in the big blind. The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Fatehi immediately announced all in for 225,000, Badziakouski simply said "no" and sent his cards into the muck.

Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated in 5th Place (58,200)

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

The man that came up with the idea and gathered interest among the usual High Roller participants is the first casualty in the money. Steve O'Dwyer faced a raise to 40,000 by Sam Greenwood from the cutoff and moved all in for 214,000 from the button, Greenwood snap-called.

Steve O'Dwyer: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Sam Greenwood: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

After a board of {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}, O'Dwyer failed to improve and had to settle for 5th place and 58,200. This means that the last four players are now already guaranteed at least 71,970.

"Just imagine what people would do if this tournament would take place regularly on Day 2 of the Main Event," Mikita Badziakouski said and Greenwood nodded.

Charlie Carrel Bubbles the Second Single-Day High Roller

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

After the double of Ali Reza Fatehi, Charlie Carrel became the shortest stack and had to forfeit his blinds and antes. Just one flop was seen after before Carrel then pushed all in for around 95,000 from under the gun. Jean-Noel Thorel reshoved from the button to isolate and Fatehi as well as chip leader Sam Greenwood both folded in the blinds.

Charlie Carrel: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

"Good luck me, ... thanks guys" Carrel joked with a smile on the face. He would find no help, as the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Clubs} to let the bubble burst. All remaining five High Roller regulars have 58,200 locked up.
