Hansen Takes from Mateos; Soika from Wyraz

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Tue Ullerup Hansen limped in from the small blind and Adrian Mateos raised to 75,000 in the big blind, Ullerup Hansen called. On the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Ullerup Hansen check-called a bet worth 75,000 before the duo then checked the {K-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river. Ullerup Hansen turned over the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for trips jacks and Mateos mucked.

One table over, Ihar Soika took some chips off Grzegorz Wyraz after betting a queen-high river for 128,000. Wyraz called and then mucked when he was shown {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair.

Kassouf Doubles Through Wyraz

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Only a few minutes before, William Kassouf three-bet shoved against Josip Simunic and showed the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}, which he had also mentioned in table chat previously to get any reaction from his opponent. Simunic had his headphones on and eventually folded.

Then, Kassouf opened to 55,000 from the cutoff and start-of-the-day chip leader Grzegorz Wyraz moved all in from the small blind. Kassouf called for 375,000 and had the best of it. "Hold one time," he said to the dealer when the cards were tabled.

William Kassouf: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Grzegorz Wyraz: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and the Brit doubled up.

Cimbolas Gets a Fold From Lakemeier

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jens Lakemeier opened from late position and Matas Cimbolas called from one seat over before both players in the blinds folded.

Lakemeier check-called a bet of 110,000 from Cimbolas on the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and did the same for 285,000 after the {2-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

Time slowed down after the {K-Spades} completed the board on the river. Lakemeier thought before he checked. Cimbolas went into the tank before he declared himself all in. He had Lakemeier's remaining stack of 640,000 covered. Several minutes transpired before time was called. As the seconds were ticking down, Lakemeier tossed his hand into the muck and Cimbolas began to stack his chips.

Mateos Takes from Petleshkov; Busts Hoefer

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Adrian Mateos defended his big blind and check-raised a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} from 67,000 to 180,000 against initial raiser Viliyan Petleshkov. The latter folded and the next hand saw everyone fold to Mateos in the small blind. He shoved into the big blind of Paul Hoefer and the latter called for around 440,000 effectively after some consideration.

Paul Hoefer: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {9-Spades}{6-Spades}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Mateos hit a six to eliminate Hoefer.

Thompson Vila Eliminated by Guerfi

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

William Kassouf open-shoved the button and showed the {A-Clubs}, big stack Grzegorz Wyraz folded in the big blind. Wyraz moved all in from the small blind the next hand and Steven Thompson Vila folded the {3-Spades}{2-Spades} in the big blind.

One hand later, Wyraz opened from the button to 52,000 and Thompson Vila moved all in for around 340,000 from the small blind. [Removed:146] reraised all in with the superior stack. Wyraz folded and the cards were tabled.

Steven Thompson Vila: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
[Removed:146]: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Despite picking up a gutshot and flush draw, Thompson Vila failed to improve on a board of {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and became the second casualty on the final day.

Lakemeier Takes from Finger

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Jens Lakemeier and Martin Finger checked down a king-high board and Finger showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Lakemeier had {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for flopped top pair and scooped the pot.

Soon after, both clashed again. Lakemeier bet the flop of {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} for 70,000 out of the big blind and Finger called from early position. The {8-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river went check, check, and Lakemeier showed the {8-Clubs} first followed by the {J-Clubs}. Finger folded and conceeded the second pot in a short time to his fellow countryman.

Alexandru Papazian
Alexandru Papazian

From the button, Alexandru Papazian opened to 56,000 and Patrick Serda three-bet all in for 622,000 in the small blind. Papazian called and put his opponent at risk.

Patrick Serda: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Alexandru Papazian: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board came {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and the river card saved Serda.

One hand later, Viacheslav Goryachev open-shoved and Papazian called all in from the cutoff for around 150,000.

Goryachev tabled the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Papazian had two overcards in {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and neither player had a spade to see Papazian depart in 22nd place for €35,140.

Seven High Like a Boss?

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

William Kassouf began the day with 14 big blinds on Table 1. Known for talking on the table just as much as Kassouf, if not more, is Lithuania's Matas Cimbolas who was just involved in a hand against France's [Removed:146].

Guerfi opened for 56,000 from under the gun. It folded around to Cimbolas on the button who asked how much the bet was before he called. The chip leader Grzegorz Wyraz folded from the small blind before Steven Thompson Vila called from the big blind.

Flop: {Q-}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Thompson Vila checked before Guerfi led out for 102,000. Cimbolas called and Thompson Vila folded. Both players checked when the {6-Spades} appeared on the turn as well as after the {8-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Guerfi tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} while Cimbolas through his {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on the table and joked in Kassouf's direct stating, "Seven high like a boss."

Leckey Doubles Through Soika

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In the first hand of the day, Paul Leckey open-shoved for his last 310,000 from middle position and Ihar Soika reshoved all in from the button.

Paul Leckey: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Ihar Soika: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop changed nothing, but Soika improved with the {A-Spades} on the turn. Leckey stood up to grab his belongings right before the {4-Diamonds} on the river gave him the two-outer to stay in.
